You certainly heard quite a few times in your life those final boarding calls, didn't you? Maybe once in a while it was you that they paged then. You know, what happens, when somebody, whose luggage was obviously already boarded, gets closed out, don't you? They pull out the luggage containers from the aircraft, one by one, as they don't keep track of what piece of luggage went into which container. That can easily take up to 15 minutes.

More than 95% of the ones being paged are equipped with a mobile phone. So why does the airport staff not mention a phone number to call, so the stress on both sides can relax? All sides (including the other passengers) have an advantage of somebody not being closed out.
